Plutowned

A few months from now, grade schoolers would start seeing this in their science exams:

----------

I. Enumeration

Name all the planets in the Solar System.

Yes, your eyes are not screwing you. There are only 8 items in there.

The main reason: Pluto, according to scientists, is NOT A PLANET anymore.

Which means there will be only 8 planets that schools and some auditoriums would teach. But actually, clicking on the link shows a picture of the "current" order of the solar system.

Starting from the sun, it goes from:
- Mercury
- Venus
- Earth
- Mars
- Something called "Ceres" (Boy, the last time I was updated regarding the universe was way back in Grade 6 =\)
- Jupiter
- Saturn
- Uranus (Heh, Ur-anus. Futurama reference, anyone?)
- Neptune
- And then Pluto and Charon (Take note, they've been paired together now as a "binary system". So Charon isn't Pluto's bitch, I mean moon, anymore.)
- And a dwarf planet called 2003 UB313. (Funny how they came up with "Ceres", but can't even make a much better name for this.)

Quoting someone from a forum:

----
"Poor Pluto. First it lives so far away from all it's solar system buddies, and now they're saying it's too small to even hang out with them anymore!

5 months from now we're going to find out that Pluto flung itself into the sun in massive depression."
----

But what about her?

Heh. Bet she feels stupid now.

Last Stand

To-do things for next week, the last week of the term before the final exams week:

Litera1 (Literature 1, if you haven't figured that one out)
- Finish reading Arundhati Roy's The God of Small Things.
- Start working on the final critical paper for the same novel.

Engltri. (Oral Communication)
- Just do the peer evaluation of the informative speeches. Nothing else. Everything is done as shit. So long, Super Mario. I mean Engltri prof.

Advaca1 (Advanced Calculus)
- Get a decent, passing (a requirement, LOL) for the 4th quiz.
- Review for the final exam, dammit. 64% average is still a precarious grade.

Despatt (Design Patterns)
- Work on group paper.
- Study the patterns for final exam.
- Review past programming "memories" >_>

Datbase (Database)
- Find something to do in the mini-project. Then we can forget everything about Mr. I-work-for-SMG.

Modealg
- Just get a grade that's 2.5 or higher. What's important is that the accumulation MUST be erased.

I am at loss again for decent blog entries.

Sometime between lunch and supper
Exactly when the longest is five less than the quarter.
My eyes, fighting not to be covered under
By my eyelids, going into a deep slumber.

One and a half seems to be eternity,
Especially when you don't know the relationship entity.
Get ready to lose your cool,
When sir has spoken out the business rule.

Have you checked your ERD?
How about your relational model?
Such "challenge" that he has given to thee
Blame it to the agent of San Miguel.

So much for being "poetic". >_>
